Employee Duties & Responsibilities

As our Service Manager, you will be expected to work independently troubleshooting reported issues related to solar system generation. In this role, the candidate would be working on-site daily repairing systems and problem-solving in the field.  This means the candidate will manage and open work orders, work with support departments from our suppliers to find solutions, and take the lead on diagnosing issues with existing solar systems.  In our service division, we aid customers who we have installed for, as well as perform service calls out to new customers. Additionally, our service team is responsible for completing system commissioning, quality assurance, and setting up system monitoring, as the last step of each of our new system installs.

Skill Requirements

  • 2 to 3 Years of experience repairing and troubleshooting issues relating to solar system technology.

  • Experience diagnosing issues relating to solar system generation, software issues, diagnostics, and part replacement is a mandatory requirement.

  • A strong electrical background with a technology diploma or electrical apprenticeship would be considered an asset.
  • Organization and management of open work orders, ensuring to track dates, include descriptive updates, and manage each issue to completion.

  • Ability to communicate technical information to customers and co-workers in a clear, easy-going, and understandable manner.
  • Scheduling & prioritization of open work orders to ensure each customer’s issue is resolved in a timely manner

  • Reporting regular updates to leadership team so that team members understand the status of all recent work orders.
